Description

The Jumo 213 engine was a German aircraft engine developed by Junkers during World War II. Introduced in 1942, this 35-liter liquid-cooled V12 engine was noted for its power and efficiency. Equipped with a supercharging system, the Jumo 213 could generate up to 1,750 horsepower, increasing to 2,100 with methanol-water injection. It was used on several aircraft, such as the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D and the Junkers Ju 88. Its advanced design contributed significantly to the Luftwaffe’s capabilities, offering improved high-altitude performance and speed compared to earlier engines.
