Impressive Diorama by Italeri reconstructing the siege of a Vietnamese village by US forces.
The Vietnam War was a war that took place in Vietnam between 1955 and 1975. The conflict arose from the struggle of the Vietnamese communists, led by Ho Chi Minh, for the independence and reunification of their country. The war was a confrontation between North Vietnam, supported by China and the Soviet Union, and South Vietnam, supported by the U.S. and other Western countries.
Finally, in 1973, a peace agreement was signed that ended the war, but failed to resolve the political and social divisions in Vietnam. In 1975, communist forces took Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam, and reunified the country under a communist regime.
