The M151, known as the “Vietnam-era jeep,” appeared in 1959 and remained in service for many years in the U.S. Army. Designed with a lightweight semi-monocoque structure and independent coil-spring suspension, it marked a significant evolution from its World War II predecessors. In 1964, the improved M151A1 model was launched, which included improvements to the rear suspension and turn signals on the front fenders. This versatile vehicle was used in numerous roles during the Vietnam War, proving its adaptability in combat and logistical conditions in various terrains.
