Description
The Pz.Sfl. Ia was a light tank destroyer developed by Rheinmetall for Germany during World War II. Its main objective was to be used as a support weapon for airborne units, but only 2 units of this vehicle were produced during the conflict, the reason for the abandonment of the project was that the 50mm gun (PaK 38 5cm) was no longer effective against the increasing armor of the enemy tanks as the war progressed.
