Description

The Sukhoi Su-57, a fifth-generation Russian multi-role fighter, was conceived as part of the PAK FA program to succeed the Sukhoi Su-27 heavy fighter. Designed to engage in aerial combat at various distances and carry out attacks against targets on land and sea, the Su-57 is equipped with a 30 mm air gun and has the capability to carry modern air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles.

The advanced equipment on board this new fighter allows real-time data exchange with both ground control systems and other aircraft in the air force, as well as performing tasks autonomously. During the development of the Su-57, measures were implemented to reduce its radar footprint through stealth technology. In February 2018, the Su-57 was tested in Syria, taking part in real military operations. To date, the Su-57 has entered mass production and is considered one of the best fighters in its class.
