Description

The Roman cavalry is less known than its famous heavy infantry legions, the reason being that these troops served as auxiliary units and only entered combat if the battle required it. It should be noted that Rome did not know the use of the stirrup, without which it is difficult to maintain stability on the horse and fight at the same time.
