The Carro Armato M14/41 I Series was a medium tank used by the Italian Army during World War II, designed as an improvement of the M13/40. Introduced in 1941, its design was primarily oriented to the needs of the North African Front. Its name reflects its approximate weight (14 tons) and year of introduction (1941). The M14/41 was armed with a 47 mm gun and two 8 mm Breda machine guns, offering decent capability against infantry and light vehicles, although insufficient against more modern Allied tanks. Its FIAT SPA diesel engine provided 145 horsepower, with a maximum speed of 33 km/h. Despite its improvements in armor and mobility over the M13/40, it was still vulnerable due to its thin armor and propensity to mechanical failure in desert conditions. It was progressively replaced by more advanced models such as the P40.
