Description

The M 13/40 medium tank was introduced in the Royal Italian Army in 1940 with the purpose of replacing previous models that proved to be inadequate in terms of armament and armor against the British vehicles found in North Africa at the beginning of the conflict. The M 13 stood out as the first tank of Italian conception equipped with a 47 mm turret gun. However, it soon proved insufficient to cope with Allied tank armor. Despite these limitations, the vehicle was widely used on all fronts until the 1943 armistice. The kit includes two quick-assembly models.
