REEDITION
The 2.8 cm sPzB 41 (schwere Panzerbüchse 41) was a German anti-tank gun used during World War II. Designed in the 1940s, this weapon stood out for its recoil mechanism and conical barrel, which significantly increased the velocity of the projectile and its penetration capacity. Despite its small 28 mm caliber, it could pierce much thicker armor than its size would suggest, thanks to this advanced technology.
The sPzB 41 was mainly used by infantry and paratrooper units due to its relative lightness and ease of transport. It entered service in 1941 and was deployed in various theaters of operations, from the Eastern Front to North Africa. However, production was limited, and only a few hundred units were made. Its effectiveness was reduced towards the end of the war due to the increased armor thickness of Allied tanks.
