The Polish car Fiat 508 was produced during the 1930s in Poland under license of the Italian Fiat brand. At first, it was assembled using parts imported from Italy, but later parts were manufactured directly in Poland, which led to a general cheapening of the vehicle, which was used for multiple civilian purposes. At the beginning of World War II, it was used as a personnel carrier by the Polish army and, after the defeat of the latter, by the Wehrmacht.
