The German armored car 1ZM was in fact an Italian vehicle of the Lancia company, of a 1915-1917 design, remodeled in the 30’s that during most of the Second World War was used by the Italian Royal Army in the North African campaigns (almost always in second line missions). After the surrender of Italy in 1943 some of these models were renamed by the Germans as Light Armored Vehicle 1ZM(i) and used mainly for anti-partisan actions.
