The Model B was a truck designed by the U.S. Four Wheel Drive Company to meet military requirements for a three-ton load capacity and the ability to tow artillery guns. This truck model was revolutionary for its time because the engine was mounted on the frame and the driver’s cab was moved to the front of the truck.
With World War I already underway, the manufacturer Vickers designed the BL 8-inch(203mm) Mk. VI, significantly lighter than its predecessors, this gun included improvements related to its hydraulic firing system and increased its effective firing range to over 10km.
