The British infantry during the Napoleonic era was noted for its discipline, tactical skill and endurance in combat. Throughout the wars against Napoleon, British soldiers proved their worth in numerous battles, such as at Waterloo and Trafalgar. Led by experienced and well-trained commanders, such as the Duke of Wellington, British soldiers became a formidable force on the battlefield.
