Description

The Cromwell recovery tank, used by Allied forces during World War II, was a modified version of the Cromwell tank. It was equipped with a powerful engine and a robust crane to recover vehicles damaged or trapped on the battlefield, a winch and specialized tools for towing and repairing such vehicles. Its turret was disassembled to make room for a working platform.
