The M5A1 was an American light tank of World War II. The M5A1 was an evolution of the M3 Stuart, its development began during the last months of 1942.

It had a 110hp Cadillac V8 engine that allowed it to reach a maximum speed of 58km/h, its main weapon was a 37 mm cannon and as secondary weapons it had three 7.92 mm machine guns.

6,800 units of this tank were produced during the war.
