The Greyhound was used by the U.S. Army during World War II as an escort and reconnaissance vehicle. Its 6 wheels made the Greyhound a very maneuverable all-terrain vehicle on almost any terrain.
The production of this vehicle began in 1941, it was powered by a Hercules JXD 6-cylinder in line water-cooled engine, which had a power of 110 hp, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 88 km / h with a range of 560Km. The armor of the M8 ranged from 19 to 32 mm and. its main weapon was a 37 mm M6 cannon, in the turret, as a secondary weapon, it carried a Browning M2 12.65 mm machine gun.
Approximately 8,500 Greyhounds were produced during the war, most of them deployed in Europe, although they also participated in the Pacific theater.
