Another fantastic Italeri set to reproduce the site of Bastogne. In December 1944 the German army launched a last desperate offensive through the Ardennes Forest (Belgium) with the idea of cutting the Allied lines at that point and forcing the Americans to retreat to the sea. During this operation the town of Bastogne and its surroundings were surrounded and the paratroopers of the 101st U.S. Airborne had to defend their position from continuous German attacks. Finally, on December 26, General Patton’s troops broke the siege and liberated the position.
