The TOPOL SS-25 “Sickle” is an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) of Soviet origin, first deployed in 1985.
Designed during the Cold War, the SS-25 is a crucial component of Russia’s nuclear deterrent.
This solid-fuel missile is highly mobile due to its eight-axis heavy vehicle-mounted launch system, making it difficult to detect and neutralize.
TOPOL has a range of approximately 11,000 kilometers and can carry a single nuclear warhead with a yield of 550 kilotons.
