The Italian armored vehicle AB 43 was an evolution of the AB 40 and 41. It was equipped with a rotating turret and its main weapon was a 20 mm Breda 35 gun (accompanied by an 8 mm coaxial machine gun). This vehicle was never used by the Italian forces, because its entry into service was delayed until 1944 when Italy was already out of the conflict, so it only entered service in the hands of the Germans, who used it especially in the fight against the partisans in northern Italy.
