British armored Austin. The Austin was a vehicle developed as a result of an order from Tsarist Russia, which was intended to modernize the armed forces of that country.
After the outbreak of the Communist Revolution in Russia in 1917, Britain stopped shipping arms to the country, resulting in some Austin’s not being shipped and being used on the Western Front during World War I.
