Description

The BMD-2 is an armored vehicle of the Soviet airborne units, developed by them in the mid-1980s, in the waning days of the cold war.

The BMD-2 is an upgrade of the BMD-1, which was to replace the latter in all airborne units of the USSR, however, the collapse of the communist system halted this replacement, which was only partially done.
