Description

The A6M Zero fighter was one of the most fearsome and famous fighters of World War II and the standard aircraft used by the Japanese Empire throughout the war.
The first prototype (the A6M1) was projected for the first time in January 1938, the initial requirements that the Imperial Navy imposed on the project for the new aircraft were to obtain a maneuverable fighter, which would exceed the maximum speed of 500km/h, with a great flight range and well armed. The A6M2 met these specifications and fought, with great efficiency, in the Sino-Japanese war and later in the attack on Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941).
The A6M3 type 32 (codenamed HAMP) was an improved version of the A6M2, it was easily recognized by its square wings, which reduced its wingspan and further improved its maneuverability. The A6M3 was active throughout the war.
