Cold War

The Cold War was a political, economic and military conflict that took place between the superpowers of the United States and the Soviet Union after World War II.

Although there was no direct war between the two countries, this conflict was characterized by ideological and military competition, espionage and an arms race.

The Cold War had a significant impact on international politics, economics and culture worldwide and lasted from the late 1940s until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
